Riesling & Pinot Weeks 2022!

Riesling & Pinot Weeks 2022!

For the 11th time, restaurateurs and wine shops together with the Information Office for German Wine are organising the Riesling & Pinot Weeks. From Friday 03 to Sunday 19 June, German wine will take centre stage in restaurants and wine shops.

Ready for Riesling & Pinot?

More and more wine shops and restaurateurs are joining in and that is not surprising, because German wine is tasty just like that in the glass - right on the palate, so to speak - but also creates a wow effect with all kinds of dishes. Versatile and simply delicious!

Showpieces Riesling & Pinot

The Riesling grape grows in all German wine regions, and with an area of over 24,000 hectares it is Germany's number one grape. No other grape embodies German wine culture like this. But Germany is more than just riesling. Did you know that there are more pinot grapes than riesling? A range of fascinating grapes: weissburgunder, grauburgunder, chardonnay and spätburgunder are perhaps the best known. But auxerrois, frühburgunder and schwarzriesling also belong to so-called "burgunder" or "pinot". That's not only numerous grape varieties, it also means untold numbers of wine & food combinations. This is why the German Wine Information Office considers it important to promote this great diversity beyond its borders. So there are the Riesling & Pinot Weeks.

Riesling & Pinot Weeks

Again this year, restaurants and wine shops all over the Netherlands are participating. At them you can taste the enormous variety of German wine: Riesling in mineralic dry form, but also as a dessert wine, the friend-of-everyone Weissburgunder or German diva Spätburgunder. But also all the other wines from grapes that make Germany so captivating: an exotic scheurebe (the German sauvignon blanc as some call this grape) or a dry, refreshing silvaner are just as captivating. So seize the opportunity of the Riesling & Pinot Weeks to discover new German wines!

Book NOW and go taste

From Friday 03 June, you can enjoy a three-course menu with a matching German wine pairing for 50 euros per person for two and a half weeks (including three weekends). Star restaurants are also participating; for each star, 15 euros is added to the menu price. That's great eating out! Reservations at participating restaurants can be made via this link.
Wine shops and wine importers also offer German wines with special discount offers for their customers.
