Wine 1 (plus): 2020 Cantine Cellaro 'Lumà' Grillo, Sicily

Grillo is a typical Sicilian white. It is fresh and fruity and smells of delicious white fruit. Fine, fruity aromas of peach, pear and ripe apple. A fresh, supple and juicy taste with some citrus and pineapple.

Wine 2 (premium): 2021 Sella & Mosca, Rosato, Alghero, Sardinia

This wine comes from the Sella & Mosca winery in Alghero. The grapes are harvested early in the season to preserve sufficient freshness. They are pressed directly, without prior bruising. The free-flowing juice is fermented at low temperature. The Rosato is pale salmon pink in colour, with subtle fruit and blossom aromas and a hint of 'warmth' from the cannonau. Fresh and dry, complemented by ripe fruit notes.

Wine 3 (plus): 2020 E.&J. Gallo 'Dark Horse' Chardonnay, California

This Dark Horse Chardonnay is a rich, full-bodied white wine from California. The wine offers bright, abundant aromas of peach and pineapple, layered with subtle hints of toasted oak. Fresh acidity leads to a lovely, refreshing finish. The grapes for this Chardonnay were harvested at optimum ripeness and carefully selected by winemaker Beth Liston. After fermentation, the wines were stored in stainless steel tanks to maintain clarity and balance. The Dark Horse Chardonnay pairs perfectly with a variety of fish dishes.
