There is nothing nicer than browsing the shelves, picking up a bargain box or being seduced by that one shiny bottle the shopkeeper recommends. We were already friends with Albert Heijn's wine shelf, but now that the range is widening and the shelves are being redecorated, we will be hobbling through the supermarket with our trolley even more often. Honest farmhouse wine, alcohol-free, small bottles or very fancy ones: the grocer once again succeeds in responding to wine trends and consumer behaviour. Credit where credit is due: the man who is sweeping through the AH wine range is number 1 on the WINELIFE Hotlist 2018, Spike Huisman. He recently told us what's in store. For instance, more than 130 wines will leave the range, for this some 80 wines will return in different volumes. Because in addition to the aforementioned categories, there is another notable newcomer: the smaller Bag-in- Box (BiB).
