Courgette flower

It is still harvest time for courgettes from your vegetable garden. Or pick the young flower that tastes slightly bitter and crispy, right in a salad or deep-fried with batter. Meanwhile, in your kitchen, enjoy this beautiful tea towel with a courgette flower by designer Kiki van Eijk, who has been making her mark on Dutch design for decades. She made it by mixing thin yarns in five colours.

Stack it up!

Look, in this you can put another collection. It is one of the many wine racks you can get from Danish brand Wineandbarrels. Made of dark stained pine with space for as many as 72 bottles. You get the metal rails, bars and clips sent separately, so you do have to craft the rack yourself - with the help of an instructional video. If your wine collection expands, you can attach multiple racks together.

 Come d'r but rum

Generally, rum is drunk from long drink glasses, as ice can be added. But the French brand Chef&Sommelier also has beautiful liqueur glasses. Made of kwarx, the sturdiest glass at the moment, with a fine thin rim. The angles in the shape release the aromas best. What aromas can rum have? Read it on page 10.
