Winery tanks

We drop in at the door and that is with the Mondavi family in Napa Valley. Should you be in the area, go visit, because hospitality reigns supreme in California's wine regions. Here, you will be driven around the vineyard and stop at breathtaking views. After a tour of the winery - and make no mistake, the barrels you see in the picture are at least twice your height! - there will be a tasting of Continuum wine. - TEXT + IMAGE EDITORS

The parents of winemaking pioneer Robert Mondavi (1913-2008) emigrated from Sassoferrato in Italy to the iron mining town of Hibbing in Minnesota as early as 1906 in search of work and a better life for their family. The immigrant community from Italy brought with them the culture of drinking wine with meals. When the Prohibition came in 1919 (the ban on the production and sale of alcohol), a business opportunity presented itself for Cesare Mondavi. After all, making wine for home was allowed. The close-knit group of miners pooled its money and trusted the papà Cesare to make wine from grapes from California. A vineyard of his own in Napa Valley followed and would be the start of a string of 100 harvests. Mondavi's wine is now known as one of the best in the world.
