Vineyards high on Swiss mountain slopes

From white snow to red wine. The Swiss wine estate Domaine de Beudon is half an hour's drive from the ski resorts. Their wines are imported by The Lucky Grape and that is our good fortune, because Swiss wines are hard to come by: due to scarcity - the Swiss like to drink their wines themselves - and due to the price being high due to import taxes. Gamaret is a local Swiss grape, a cross between gamay and reichensteiner, growing in popularity due to resistance to fungal diseases and relatively early ripening.
