Time for bubbles?

The corona crisis does not diminish the medallion rain that descends on good wines. And this is not seasonal, but goes on all year round. From Allemant in France, a municipality with less than two hundred inhabitants but with two champagne houses, we received a proud note from Bernard Remy and his son Rudy that they received two gold plaques at the Prague Wine Trophy. This is nice to report, because in addition to their traditional presence during the festive season, bubbles have been gaining prominence in recent years as fresh summer drinks - champagne, but also cava and prosecco.

So rep your way to the liquor store, which remained open as a 'necessary shop' during the lockdown, and find the winning wines or order them online. The Bernard Remy Carte Blanche is a blend with pinot noir with a soft mousse that smells of lime, honey and lemon, to which in your mouth is added fresh mint and the creaminess of brioche. The Grand Cru comes from Bernard and Rudy's vineyard in Le Mesnil-sur Oger and has matured for 5 years, creating a flavour explosion in your mouth. With citrus aromas, among others, this wine goes perfectly with summer salmon appetisers. BERNARD REMY BRUT CARTE BLANCHE ROBBERSENVANDENHOOGEN.NL | € 31.75
