Sugar bomb
Its extremely fragrant, perfumed, floral aromas make the muscat style instantly recognisable. One of the grape varieties from the muscat family within the Vitis vinifera is this muscat ottonel. The grape is known from dry wines from Alsace and Hungary with a light, greenish-yellow colour and those characteristic muscat aromas. They are generally slightly fresher and drier than wines from the better-known yellow muscat. Famous and melting on the tongue are the late-harvested, sweet (dessert) wines with their sophisticated citrus aromas from Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Croatia and Serbia.
