As in the film
In many films and series (Suits!) whisky carafes pass by, on a small table with glasses, in a chic office or living room. As in a wine decanter, any dregs can sink to the bottom. That more nuanced aromas would be released by contact with oxygen is a point of contention with whisky. Apart from that, whisky is much more stable in a decanter than wine, so it provides a nice picture for a long time (for good whiskies, see page 11).

With a red colour and modern design, the Salka tea towel is right up our alley for polishing wine glasses. Made by Lapuan Kankurit which means 'the weavers of Lapua'. Jaana and Esko Hjelt are the fourth generation of a weaver family and say: 'We are inspired by the pure nature in Lapua. For this tea towel, we use Masters of Linen yarn and organic cotton. We add warmth and softness to our textiles, as a counterbalance to the chilly climate of the north.'
TEA TOWEL SALKA | NORDICINTERIORDESIGN.COM | € 13.90 | TABLE RUNNER € 32.90
We're saving up for Christmas, because dining in style succeeds anyway with this dinnerware from fashion house Dior. Made of super-thin Limoges porcelain, a strong porcelain known worldwide, and with hand-dyed Toile de Jouy along the rim. Toile de Jouy is a romantic motif with flowers or landscapes, which you also see on old wallpaper and which Christian Dior loved.

A nice gift for the wine lover. While pouring, the wine aerator provides extra oxygen to release the aromas in the wine. It then becomes smoother and rounder in the glass. Note: do not decant an old wine, as this will reduce its vitality.
WINE AERATOR WINE+ | WINECLIMATE.CO.UK | €14.95
