It's summer!

In this issue, we explore the extremes in wine. So we head to the Moselle and brave its steep slopes. It is a region worth discovering and has long since ceased to be about sweet wines, but produces wines full of character and digestibility. You'll get great Moselle tips in our buying guide.

We will also pay attention to an ancient winemaking method, one that produces extremely unique wines. We will talk about orange wines. Magda takes a close look at this and comes up with a great selection of this exceptional type of wine - wines that are both gastronomic and eccentric.

Wine region

I myself struggled to choose which type of extreme to cover in my column. All the world's top wine regions face extremes. It is precisely in those extreme places, where the vines have to work the hardest, where the most inspired wines come from. My focus was on perhaps the most romantic wine region I have ever visited, the Douro. And I also got to do so with a wine of exceptional age.
