Would you also like to collect port in your cellar? Perhaps from a special (birth) year? Vintage port is the king among port wines. It is only produced in the best years from the best-qualified grapes. This year, rare bottles are being auctioned off in London. They come straight from the cellars of the medieval Raby Castle in County Durham, where they have been stored since they were acquired on release by the ancestors of the current lord of the castle, Lord Barnard. The collection will be distributed over upcoming wine auctions; the first selection in June included, for example, Dow's 1924, Fonseca 1934 and the legendary Taylor's 1948. A lot (lot) of three bottles of Dow's Vintage 1924 then sold for €11,100. With the special collector's guide with good port houses and other guidelines for collectors on the website, and the registration form to bid with, you can't go wrong.
