Of course it does

Niels van Laatum (@NEZPOURVIN) shares a wine discovery every edition. He wrote a book on natural wine, gives wine lectures and travels the world in search of that one exceptional bottle, region, grape or winemaker.

'Most of the time you have to look for it. Sometimes a wine tip literally falls into your lap. Like this one: Segreto, an Italian red with a Dutch touch. Started once as a project of three compatriots. Just south of Bolgheri lies their just 1.2 hectare small vineyard with marselan. A cross between grenache and cabernet sauvignon, the latter of which graces the label as a crowd-pleaser. A downright super-Tuscan. I dare you. Not certified, but organic. A wine that needs breathing space before it shows its true face. It is one wine, but in several vintages. So they have secretly stored it safely since 2010. Since 2015, Graziana Grissini (who previously made Sassicaia great) got involved and the wine is even better. And earlier to drink.
