Sommelier Antonello Nicastri gets emotional when talking about his love of wines and food. 

HOW DID YOUR PASSION FOR WINE BEGIN?
'That flowed from my love of food and gastronomy. In 2007, I worked at a five-star hotel in my native Puglia in southern Italy, an enchanting place, a kind of oasis. There, my manager ignited me with his passion and I got to know the local wines. Wines in which you can taste the warmth of the land and the character of the winemakers, their lives intertwined with the vines and tradition.'

WHY DID YOU LEAVE FOR THE NETHERLANDS?
'As my beloved Puglia is really a wine region, you don't easily get to know other, international wines there. I wanted to develop, improve and increase my wine knowledge and that took me to other parts of
the world. But Puglia always follows me in my heart.'
