It was party time at the Chilean pied-à-terre of our Spanish idol Miguel Torres -advancing winemaker in the Penedès. Because at winery Torres Chile, Eduardo Jordán was awarded Winemaker of the Year 2024 by Tim Atkin in his report on Chile.

The British wine critic and Master of Wine also gave high scores to a number of wines from the family winery in the Curicó Valley region. Tim travelled across Chile for 3 weeks to taste 1,173 wines from 184 wineries and gave almost 900 wines a score of 90 points or higher. Eduardo was delighted with the recognition: 'It is an incentive for our team to continue contributing to our sector and proudly take our country's wines to the whole world.' Miguel Torres has truly pioneered Chilean viticulture by promoting its unique geography to peers and introducing international grape varieties such as cabernet and sauvignon. All while respecting the environment and local people working in the vineyards. Want to taste for yourself?
