Congratulations Betuws Wijndomein, Wijngaard St. Martinus and Wijngaard Hof van Twente, on the honorary prizes at the 2025 Wine Awards of the Low Countries. These wineries and other winners will definitely be featured again in WINELIFE in 2026. At the judging, 230 wines submitted by 50 winemakers from the Netherlands and Belgium were tasted. The jury awarded a record number of 45 gold medals this year. We already thought the number of gold medals was high last year, when 35 out of 271 entries were awarded gold.
More than 50 vineyard owners participated in the judging, together accounting for 230 wines submitted. Remarkably, as many as 84 per cent of all entries were awarded prizes. Besides the 45 gold medals, 75 silver and 75 bronze awards were given. Never before have so many wines finished in the absolute top of this prestigious judging. It just proves once again that Dutch wine is getting better and better in quality.
