The sommelier at Hanninkshof restaurant in Enschede has been named best young host in the Netherlands. Tim Wellen-berg is only 26 years old, but knows exactly how to give guests a top evening. He had to prove this in various tests over the past six months, as one of 24 candidates selected from the applications. The award ceremony of the National Hennessy Hospitality Award - the 18th edition already! - took place on 28 October during the presentation of the new 2020 edition of restaurant guide Lekker500. Tim was presented with a bottle of Impe-rial, the 19th-century favourite cognac of kei-zero Maria Feodorovna, by Maurice Hennessy, eighth generation of the famous cognac family. There were also sounding coins, a work of art, a trophy and a study visit to Hen-nessy's Château de Bagnolet for the winner. Congratulations!
