Fleur de l'Amaurigue rosé was introduced in 2003 by the de Groot family and is named after daughter Fleur. This year, the bottle comes in a new design with special bottom and a fresh label. Fleur, together with winemaker Jean Marie Quef, commissioned the bottle with a new bottom, which stands out like a star at the bottom. The transparent label gives the bottle an elegant look, making the pale rosé colour even more visible.
Fleur rosé, a wine to celebrate every moment in life
The special cuvée has a soft, pale pink colour and a pure and expressive nose of tropical fruit. The mouth has finesse, roundness and rich aromas of white peach combined with a hint of strawberry, and a light spice. The finish has brilliant length and has the recognisable Amaurigue style in flavour, quality, elegance and balance. The rosé can be drunk all year round, on its own or paired with Mediterranean or Asian dishes. It is the ultimate Provence rosé with flavour and sophistication, tantalising all the senses.
About Domaine de l'Amaurigue
The best vines have been grown on the estate in Provence since 1940. When the Dutch De Groot family bought it in 1998, they invested heavily in improving and modernising the vineyard, the production process and the vines. The vineyard covers 47 hectares of vines in the middle of a beautiful 155-hectare wooded area. The vines are comfortably sandwiched between rolling hillsides with views to the south and east. The domaine's hilly surroundings and clay-limestone soil allow the expressive aromas of the Provençal grape varieties to fully express themselves. Grenache, cinsault and carrignan for the rosé wines; syrah and cabernet sauvignon for the reds, rolle and ugni blanc for the whites. Since 2000, Domaine de l'Amaurigue has been making all its wine on its own estate. Today, the wine is distributed in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Ibiza, the US, Canada and Asia.
Sustainability
The family strives to produce authentic, high-quality wines with respect for the environment and a focus on sustainability: enhancing biodiversity and the natural protection of crops on the estate. To this end, l'Amaurigue has been awarded the High Environmental Value Certificate (HVE). HVE covers four key areas: biodiversity conservation, crop protection, fertiliser use management and water management. Also, the wines are all vegan.
Awards
With its unique terroir, Domaine de l'Amaurigue produces top-quality wines that win awards every year: such as the Médaille d'Or at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris and gold at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London. Meanwhile, the new vintage Fleur 2020 has won a gold medal at the Concours Mondail de Bruxelles.
The cuvée spéciale Fleur de l'Amaurigue rosé is available at a selected number of exclusive wine shops and restaurants. Suggested retail price at wine shops is €12.95
