Since the year 2000, Denmark has been an officially EU-recognised wine-growing country, making it the northernmost wine-growing region in Europe. Denmark is divided into four wine-growing regions: Jütland, Fünen, Seeland and Bornholm. Today, wine of the highest quality is grown throughout the country. On the international "wine stage", wine from Denmark is now considered a new, interesting speciality and some Danish wineries have even won international awards.
