An auction of rare wines has raised €750,729. Amusingly, many included wines from California.

This was an 'LA Edition' from auction house Christie's featuring iconic wines from both the Old Wine World and the New. From Sine Qua Non, for example. Founded in 1994 in Central Coast, this producer quickly became the standard for Rhone grapes in California. Numerous vintages of their Distenta I and II went under the hammer, as well as rare collector's cases featuring the wines Eleven Confessions and Next of Kyn. Also
