Alcohol-free wine in Bordeaux? Yes indeed! In the city where wine runs deep in culture, a shop dedicated entirely to 0% wines has now opened. Not just a shelf in an existing shop, but a complete shop, right in the city centre.

Belles Grappes is a first for Bordeaux. Close to St-André cathedral, it opened in late 2024 Belles Grappes, the first specialist shop in Bordeaux for de-alcoholised wines and non-alcoholic alternatives. Since then, the shop has attracted a wide audience: from curious consumers to winemakers who want to taste what is possible in the 0% field.
"Every week, winemakers visit to discover what de-alcoholised wine tastes like," says co-owner Anne Kettaneh. The range offers something for everyone: white, red, rosé and sparkling wines, from Bordeaux, but also from Provence, Germany and Austria.
That this particular shop is popping up in Bordeaux shows how strong the demand for non-alcoholic wine is growing. Not only consumers, but also producers are responding to this. For example, Spanish winery Familia Torres is investing €6 million in a new alcohol-free wine cellar, as we here previously reported.
The arrival of Belles Grappes proves: even in traditional wine regions, 0% wine is here to stay.
