Have you been in carefree slurp mode since the turn of the year, or do you still have the good intentions to deepen your knowledge of what you taste with a course? The Wine Institute can prepare you for an examination SDEN, an official and nationally recognised diploma; after SDEN3, you get a so-called wine licence which gives access to the Vinologenopleiding. But easier is also possible, if you are a novice wine lover: on a single evening, go through the do's and don'ts of wine tasting (the course is also available in English). We took our editorial family to one such tasting evening in The Hague last year, with the always enthusiastic wine teacher and Register Vinologist Ingrid Larmoyeur.
