This edition includes harvest reports, of course, and from Austria. First of all: the grapes are of fantastic quality. The weather did not throw a spanner in the works in 2019, although the summer was historically hot and dry. Fortunately, September and October were mild months, with cool nights. Good for developing the aromas further, but preserving the acids. Conditions were also good during harvest. The harvest is an annual thriller, due to the fickle weather conditions. Too much sun, rain at the wrong time or a hailstorm and it all goes wrong. Now an average volume was harvested of well ripe fruit; we can't wait for the wine!
