And the winner is...

As is often the case with competitions, this year's battle for the 'Wine Bar of the Year' title was another nerve-wracking neck-and-neck race. Because what a lot of great wine bars can be found in the Netherlands! After more than 10,000 public votes and 15 unannounced jury visits - with WINELIFE's editor-in-chief as strict yet fair jury chairman - the 'Wine Bar of the Year 2017' was recently announced!

Wine at Stijn from Den Bosch walked away with the prize. Because: very competent service and an extensive wine list with both well-known big names and many new discoveries. More than 50 reasonably priced wines by the glass, ranging from tasty surprises from the new world to wines (from the Coravin system) such as Château Latour and Yquem. Absolutely worth a visit, in short!

Amsterdam-based Rayleigh & Ramsay received an award in the 'Wine bar new experience 2017' category. The jury judged: a cosmopolitan wine bar for the wine taster who wants to travel the world with over 100 wines by the glass, by the half glass and even by the sip. A tasty place to go on a journey of discovery through the world of wine.
