Every spring, Bordeaux takes centre stage with En Primeur: the first tastings of the new vintage, still ageing in the barrel.

IImporters and critics are examining its potential, whilst collectors are looking ahead. And 2025? That one really stands out. According to the initial tasting notes – including those from Decanter – has this been a year of high quality, despite a hot, dry summer, with August itself heatwaves, heatwaves.
Low yields ensure concentration. The style is even described as ‘classic’: ripe tannins, fresh acidity and not a trace of heaviness. The dry white wines are also remarkably good, such as those from Pessac-Léognan: lively, precise and aromatic, partly because they were harvested before the peak of the heatwave.

And now for the good news for buyers: thanks to the economic headwinds and ample stock from previous years, prices are remaining realistic. Now’s the time to snap one up!
As soon as a château releases its wines, you can place an order via Bolomey and Colaris over the coming months. Their Bordeaux specialists taste the wines on site and will keep you informed straight away. The wines will be delivered in bottles in a year and a half’s time.
