Cool, cooler, coolest

Sometimes you run into a product like this where really to
everything has been thought of. La Fraîcheur is a Dutch
wine cooler made of aluminium that is beautiful and almost indestructible.
It works perfectly and leaks no condensation. There is
an 'ice chamber' at the bottom for ice cubes or a special
round cooling element and through the window you can see the label
remain visible on the bottle. With models for narrow bottles
and for magnums, in all sorts of fancy colours, this is
cooling at its coolest.

Jewellery

These glasses are made according to old English glassworking traditions.
Hand-cut stems, geometric
details, glass diamonds and emeralds, and feet with
ridges. Gave hold back then if you had greasy fingers from
eating the meat. Now almost turned into art objects.
Not cheap, then, designers Andrea
Larsson and Julie Hugau.

Deepening

A wine coaster or bottle coaster means nothing more than
a coaster. It catches drips or condensation from a
chilled bottle. But of course, from something practical you can
make an eye-catcher. This resting place for your bottle of wine seems
simple, but the sinuous twist in the design, as
of a spiral staircase, testifies to the artistic vision of
design duo Lisa Smith and Linda Celentano.

Glass art

A classic, like the hilarious scene from
Mr Bean stuffing a Christmas turkey... with his
head. This bird is a decanter, so those
fill with wine. It is delivered to order within one
few weeks handmade for you by the
Venetian glass artist Simone Crestani,
With matching wine glasses on bird's feet.
Simone draws inspiration from 18th-century
still lifes on which objects have a double
have meaning.
