Tasty leftovers

Because there is far too much to tell about one grape variety, we are happy to make room for it here online. With tips on what tastes good with wine from the red grape from Italian Trentino: teroldego, including a recipe and extensive tasting notes.

Tip: What do you eat at Teroldego Rotaliano?

As an advisory temperature for teroldego, they stick to between 16 and 18 degrees. Lucio likes to drink the Castel Firmian Teroldego Rotaliano DOC with local specialities like spezzatino di vitello (goulash) and tortelli di patate (potato pie) with salami and ham. 'Teroldego stands up well to fat and the tannins help make it a delicious combination.'

Luca swears by a nice steak with a glass of Musivum: 'That's our single vineyard wine. The name means mosaic in Greek. Vintages 2016 and 2022 are particularly exceptional.' The 2022 is still maturing in Mezzacorona's cellars, the 2016 we have already tasted for you (see below). In general, teroldego, with its fine acidity and hefty tannins, goes well with barbecue, salami and cheese. By the way, the Filorosso is also delicious with pasta, Lucio adds. By the way, Castel Firmian Teroldego Superiore Riserva is also a treat with sweet, such as torta di pane with blueberries, cherries and aged cheese.
