On your bucket list: wine museums

There are 46 of them in Italy, one in almost every region. And 63 per cent of tourists want to visit them.

That was one of the conclusions of an International Conference on Wine Museums held in Italy. The organiser was the Muvin Foundation, the future Verona International Wine Museum. It also discussed how to entertain the public. For example, the Castello di Grinzane, a venue for the history of Barolo's iconic wines, has created a museum tour of the vineyards. At the Colosseum Archaeological Park, a green oasis in the heart of Rome, Italian viticulture merges with archaeology.
