Good news for all lovers of Italian wine: a free e-learning is available on Chianti Classico. Whether you are a novice or highly experienced wine fan, this course offers a perfect, accessible in-depth look at this iconic Tuscan wine region.

The complete course is free, fully online and available 24/7. In five compact videos, the “Meet Chianti Classico” module takes you through the centuries-old history, the unique terroir, the grape varieties used (including, of course, sangiovese) and the production of both wine and olive oil. The lessons are in English (and optionally subtitled in Italian, French or German).
The e-learning is offered by the Consorzi Vino e Olio Chianti Classico, the official consortium overseeing the wines and olive oil of the Chianti Classico area. If you successfully complete the course, you will receive an official certificate from the consortium; nice for yourself, but also useful if you work in the catering or wine trade or as a food & wine influencer. And you can then also call yourself a Chianti Classico Expert.
