Weingut Familie Allendorf 'Save Water Drink Riesling'

Weingut Familie Allendorf 'Save Water Drink Riesling'

You can't ignore the catchy label with this very tasty, multi-use fresh summer wine. It certainly doesn't taste like water, although the alcohol content (12%) is really modest. This is more often the case with German wine. In this one, you taste a mix of ripe pineapple and apricot with a drizzle of honey. Combine this with a fresh lime and you have a drink-through wine that you don't really need any food with. So it is an ideal beach or picnic wine, also because of its handy screw cap. If you do want to eat with it, then something tasty from the sea is a must - shrimps or cod fillet from the grill, for example.
