Under architecture
The façade gives it away: this is no average house. It is a paragon of classic Bordelian elegance, probably designed by a pupil of Victor Louis, the famous architect of the opera house in Bordeaux. There is 581 square metres of living space, divided into 14 spacious rooms. With plenty of original features such as a stone staircase, fireplaces and natural stone floors. But the house has also been remodelled, to make everything ready for the 21st century. Grandeur combined with modern comforts. And yes, it is being sold furnished, so you can unpack your bags and your move is over.
The good outdoors
The castle is set in the middle of a park with mature trees, three ponds, a tennis court and a swimming pool of Olympic stature. In the park you will find a guest house with four bedrooms and a caretaker's house. The tasting room overlooks the vineyards.

Smart selection
Eleven hectares of AOC Bordeaux Supérieur vines surround the property. The soil with clay, silt and sand is ideal for merlot. This French favourite makes for supple and easy wines that are also full-bodied and powerful. Cabernet Franc and Malbec also do well in the sunniest plots. They add fruit and structure to the final assemblage. Thanks to thorough research into the terroir and clever selection of clones and vines, complex wines are made at this chateau, which have won several awards, as befits good Bordeaux.
