Santa Maria Medalla Real Reserva Chardonnay

The elegant Medalla Real Reserva Chardonnay has a golden yellow colour and aromas of tropical fruit and grapefruit, combined with notes of vanilla. The lingering finish is characterised by pleasant acidity and sweetness. The climate is strongly influenced by the Pacific Ocean and the low-lying Coastal Mountains. Warm temperatures are tempered by cool winds. This climate creates a Chardonnay that is perfectly balanced. This Chardonnay pairs well with rich fish dishes, scallops and lobster.

Viña Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Don Domingo Fernández Concha, a prominent businessman and public figure at the time. Don Domingo brought the best French grape varieties to the rich soils of the Maipo Valley, along with specialised equipment and a team of top winemakers from France. They brought with them techniques previously unknown in Chile. This changed the way wine was made in the country, producing spectacular results.
