Alsace has an excellent terroir for pinot gris. No wonder, then, that they make tasty, juicy and subtly elegant wines from pinot blanc. They are dry, slightly spicy wines with a fine acidity. Full of fruit, such as ripe pineapple, pear, a sweet and sour apple and honeydew melon. A must for the terrace, then, but the wine is absolutely irresistible with poached fish or white meat. Of course, it remains the faithful companion to white and green asparagus.
