Aix Rosé 2022

Aix Rosé 2022

Take the authentic Provençal grape varieties grenache, syrah and cinsault. Carefully nurture the vines throughout the growing season. After picking and pressing, add some love, passion and pride to the juice and you get a dyke of a rosé. Voilà, AIX Rosé 2022. Not only do we think so, in France and Germany they are already convinced. The 2022-vintage AIX Rosé recently received its first gold medals. These were awarded by one of the leading French wine guides, Gilbert & Gaillard and the famous German wine guide Mundus Vini.

Maison Saint Aix, owned by Dutch Eric Kurver, is one of the largest domains in the AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence. It is also one of the highest located wine domains: at 420 metres above sea level, it benefits from the alternation of cool nights and hot days to get freshness and strength in the juice of the grapes. Although it was a very dry year, Millésime 2022 is another one by the book. The grapes were ripe very early for picking this year. Instead of at the end of September, the grapes were taken to the cellar as early as the third of September. At AIX, they made a fresh, fragrant, delicate rosé with subtle flavours of fresh red fruit, peach and a fine spiciness.
