Wine festival Groningen 2022

On Friday 23 September and Saturday 24 September, the sixth edition of the Wine Festival Groningen will take place. The beautiful Akerk church in the city centre will turn into a paradise for wine lovers and foodies. 

Wines from around the world

The wine festival features various wine shops and wine importers from Groningen and beyond who can tell you all about their wines from around the world. With a tasting glass in hand, you can leisurely stroll past the stands to taste a few noble sips everywhere.

An adventure for your taste buds

A floral viognier, a dusty sauvignon blanc, a zesty riesling or a hearty tempranillo? No worries, you don't have to choose. Three tokens are included in the entrance fee so you can start tasting right away. From 1 token, you already have some goodies in your glass. Troll, smell, drink, enjoy and move on!

Of course, you can't have good wine without tasty snacks. That is why there are plenty of delicacies at the festival to satisfy your appetite. Think of a classic cheeseboard or tasty cold cuts.

A festival at your home

Fall in love to your ears with a particular wine? Then you can order it directly from the exhibitor. Before you know it, you will have your new favourite in your house and can reminisce about the Wine Festival.

A day in Grunn

Groningen is not next door for everyone. Our tip: treat yourself to a day out in this cosy student city. Dive into the cosy boutiques, relax on a terrace and toast in the evening in the Akerk!
